The house lays at an extrairdinary place in the northwest of krete. On the one hand it has an undisturbing view of the ocean on the other you are surrounded by magnificenr mountains and importand antique villages, which you can see by birds eye view. Thanks to the unique view you get the feeling of having the possibility to fly directly to the beach. Besides that you can observe the flight of the birds and the happenings of nature really closely. With the house of 180m2 and the hole propert of 8000m2 you don’t just have advantage of a beautiful view, you also can have lovely walks and be in the center of the landscape of krete. Another distinctiveness of the surrounding is the historical importance. On the ground of the property there have been archaeological records which are going back to 500 BC. That is why there have been strict orders of how to build the residence. Thanks to the architect Lito Rodousaki and her husband it was possible to create a masterpiece which connects modern, elegant art and rough nature. Between the outside and the inside of the house there is a comfortable connection. You get the feeling of freedom.

The Idee

The first idea for the house is the direct contact with the surroundings from all the rooms. Thats why all the rooms have big windows and sliding doors to the ground floor and also the bathrooms have windows or light windows. The infinity pool and the subsequently deck hover over the slope and give a freedom feeling.

Materials

The innerdoors and the entrance pivotdoor are with oak wood. The green marble at the kitchenisland aus from Rajasthan.The oyster marble in the bathrooms and at the Stack are from Attica.
All The floors inside are with Granit slabs. The floor at the outdoors areas are with a stone from the Cretan mountains. The interior furnishings has been elected to suit with the surroundings and home architecture. The olive trees and all the fruit trees surround the home and have some trees always fruits or blossoms.

The beach MAlovos is the closest to the house. It is a popular beach for tourists and locals. Along the beach there are a lot of cafes and restaurants. Another recommendable beach is Falassarna. It is just 5 km away. There are many possibilities to do different watersports. But what makes this place so special is the unbelievable beautiful view to see the sunset. Last but not least there are two more beautiful beaches. Balos and Elafonissi these two are counted over and over as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world on Trip Advisor. And both are really easy to get to by car.

The Town Chania is the perle of crete. A romantic port, old small side streets and culinaric high class restaurants enchant you here especially in the evening. For people who love shopping and sightseeing tours is this town also an absolut must.
